About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook specializing in Indian cuisine to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience preparing authentic Indian dishes — from rich curries and tandoori specialties to vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies — while maintaining high standards of taste, hygiene, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook a wide range of authentic Indian dishes, including curries, biryanis, breads, and snacks.
• Ensure consistency in flavor, quality, and portioning.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the kitchen at all times.
• Monitor inventory, manage food supplies, and minimize wastage.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items or specials that enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience
• Proven experience (3+ years) as a cook specializing in Indian cuisine, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
• Certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field is an added advantage.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
