TRAINER – MACHAKOS CAMPUS
Health Records & Information Technology

Required Education and Experience
• Competent professional with technical skills up to date trends and technologies in HRIT to ensure training materials are relevant and accurate to train students.
• A good team player
• Interested in the development and support of young adults
• Good oral English and Kiswahili and excellent written English language skills
• Competent oral and verbal communicator while working with individuals and teams
• Excellent computer skills with proficiency in relevant Health Records and Information Technology (HRIT) systems software

Tasks and responsibilities
• Mentor, guide and advise students in their learning and development of professional behaviour
• Generally, participate in any other activities related to planning, implementation and evaluation of teaching and learning in the college.
• Participate in research with guidance of senior lecturers.
• Guide and support mentors, tutors, interns, student facilitators and other junior staff supporting the learning of students.
• Syllabus development.
• Contribute to Curriculum development and review
• Participate in the training and assessment of learning of students including:
o Preparing and uploading lesson plans and related teaching learning and formative assessment materials for assigned lessons to our learning management system
o Planning and conducting lectures
o Planning and conducting tutorials
o Planning and conducting Skills sessions
o Assessing students' performance
