KITCHEN MANAGER
Industry: Hospitality (4-star hotel/resort)
Nationality: Kenyan Citizens Only
Location: Mombasa, Kenya
Joining: Immediate
Package: KES 70,000 to 80,000 (Gross) Benefits as per company policy
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management
• 3–5 years in senior kitchen management in a 4-star hotel or resort
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills
• Solid knowledge of budgeting, inventory, and food cost control
• Ability to perform well under pressure and resolve issues quickly
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise kitchen staff including chefs, cooks, and stewards
• Schedule team shifts and manage performance evaluations
• Coordinate with service and stores teams to ensure timely delivery and stock control
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, reduce food wastage, and optimize costs
• Maintain food quality, presentation, hygiene, and regulatory compliance
• Manage kitchen operations for events and banqueting, including prep and manpower allocation
• Collaborate with Executive Chef on menu planning, standardization, and portion control
• Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff
• Track kitchen inventory, equipment maintenance, and cost records
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and labor regulations
