COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and execute public campaigns and events to promote the organization’s mission and programs.
- Support program officers in implementing advocacy initiatives and partnerships.
- Write, edit, and proofread advocacy materials, including press releases, reports, blog posts, and social media content.
- Develop and maintain relationships with partner organizations, including media outlets and civil society groups, to strengthen campaign reach.
- Oversee the organization’s social media presence, including content planning, posting, community engagement, and performance monitoring.

QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 2 years of experience in media, public relations, or social media management.
- Demonstrated knowledge and of/ or experience in digital rights advocacy.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for various audiences and platforms.
- Proficiency in managing social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, engagement, and analytics.
- Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with media, civil society organizations, and other strategic partners.
