JOB VACANCY: HEAVY COMMERCIAL DRIVER

Our client, a reputable company in the Transport industry is seeking to recruit responsible and experienced Heavy Commercial Drivers to join a vibrant logistics/transport team. The successful candidate will be tasked with operating heavy duty commercial vehicles for the safe and timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will have a valid commercial driver's license, a strong driving record, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Operate heavy commercial vehicle (e.g., trucks, trailers) in a safe and efficient manner
II. Transport goods and materials to and from specified locations
III. Perform vehicle inspections before and after each trip
IV. Ensure the secure loading and unloading of cargo
V. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents
VI. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies
VII. Report mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly
VIII. Follow assigned routes and schedules
IX. Provide excellent customer service at delivery and pickup points
X. Any other duties assigned by management from time to time

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
I. Valid Heavy Commercial Driver's License with the appropriate Class (Class C1, C, CE, CD) for heavy commercial vehicles.
II. At least three (3) years’ practical experience in a similar position
III. Clean driving record with no major violations
IV. Familiarity with local and regional roads.
V. Ability to read maps, GPS devices, and delivery instructions.
VI. Physically fit
VII. Strong communication and time management skills.
VIII. Demonstrate capacity and experience in a similar role.
IX. Must pass background checks and drug/alcohol testing.
X. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
