Afya na Haki Institute is excited to announce an unique opportunity to join our Mentorship Programme, designed to nurture the next generation of African leaders in these critical fields.

Overview of the Programme
Afya na Haki is pleased to announce a 6-month Mentorship Programme exclusively for students enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) and Bachelor's degrees of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) at the Afya na Haki Institute. This programme is designed to strengthen the capacity of emerging African activists and practitioners in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and reproductive rights advocacy and to promote evidenced-based policies and practices, grounded in the experiences of African women and marginalized communities.

This initiative offers a unique platform where experts with extensive experience in sexual and reproductive health, rights and governance share their insights and guidance. The aim is to build a dynamic and empowered movement for young African reproductive justice activists and advocates by equipping them with specialized tools to advocate for their rights within local, national and international policies and legal frameworks, and to create meaningful change in their communities, both to effectively shape and advance their career paths within the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) field.

This programme offers an exceptional chance for Afya na Haki students to deepen their expertise, build lasting connections, and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of reproductive justice in Africa.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
This mentorship programme is exclusive to Afya na Haki students enrolled into the Academics and Postgraduate Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health.

STRUCTURE:
Mentors will be paired with mentees who specialise in the diverse aspects of SRH. The program will operate in a flexible yet structured manner, covering vital and in-person interaction as well as inclusive intimate and mentorships to enhance the mentees’ experience. The programme will culminate in the Annual Mentorship Conference.
