BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Location: Nairobi, Kenya

A results-driven, versatile, skilled & customer-focused software consultant is vital to the prosperity of the company.
At SoftNet, the Business Development Manager boosts revenue by seeking and developing new business possibilities and establishing and growing the organization's and its partners' presence.
Objectives
Establish connections with clients, vendors, partners, and distributors
Maintaining important client relationships and establishing new ones
Build and strengthen relationships with both internal and external parties to boost lead generation and market share
Complete EOI, RFI, RFQ, RFT (ITT), RFP, PQQ, RFA, RFS submissions
Manage the sales cycle: prospect and generate leads, make contact, qualify, product presentation and proposal, follow-up and clarifications, generate referrals, close sale
Research, plan, and implement new target market initiatives
Research and identify new business opportunities
Good understanding of the businessproducts or services
Meeting existing and potential clients and building positive relationships
Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices
Achieve or exceed sales and revenue targets
Update and report in line with set financial projections and sales targets
Preparing sales presentations and participating in sales meetings.#
Update relevant company systems & reports
Producing reports for management.#
Skills and specifications to apply for success
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, MBA
5-10 years ERP sales or marketing experience
Experience in customer service, marketing, or a sales-related field
Knowledge of business and sales growth techniques
Experience in managing sales or marketing teams
Sharp negotiation and networking skills.
Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets.
Excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associates.
· Written and verbal communication skills
· Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients.
· IT skills, including the use of spreadsheets.
· Teamworking skills and a collaborative approach to work.
· multitask and prioritize your workload.
