Security Specialist

We are seeking a qualified candidate from West Africa. Applicant must have the ability to communicate fluently in both English and French or Portuguese orally and in writing. This roles require individuals who are adaptable, detail-oriented, and experienced in field-based operations in complex environments.

• ROLE
• Conduct context-specific security assessments for all planned field visits
• Provide real-time security monitoring and updates to field teams
• Implement risk mitigation measures in consultation with the Security Lead
• Coordinate emergency response protocols and brief field staff on safety procedures
• Maintain up-to-date security mapping for operational area

• QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Security Management, Risk Management, International Relations, or a related field
• Minimum 7 years of practical experience in field-based security roles, preferably in conflict-affected or high-risk areas
• Proven experience conducting risk assessments and managing incident response
• Familiarity with humanitarian principles and duty of care standards
• Strong communication, briefing, and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and travel frequently to field site
