Credit Controller (Manufacturing Sector)

Our Client, in the manufacturing industry seeks to recruit a Credit Controller who will be responsible for managing the debts on allocated accounts and to process and reconcile client’s statements. This role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.

Reporting to: Accountant
Job Location: Mlolongo, Mombasa Road
Salary: 50,000-60,000 Gross

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Generate and send out accurate invoices to customers on time
- Analyse and reconcile the debtor ledger on a monthly basis, ensuring timely payment of outstanding invoices.
- Handle debtor complaints.
- Bank reconciliations while ensuring that all debits and credits are properly supported and authorised.
- Report daily, weekly and monthly debt collections, or as the case may be.
- Ensure that the company’s credit policy is adhered to at all times.
- Maintain updated customer records – Invoices, credit notes, ageing reports and agreements
- Recommend outstanding accounts that are uncollectable for bad & doubtful debts provisioning.
- Maintain amicable customer relations with the company’s customers.
- Carry out any other assignments as delegated.
- Any other duty as allocated by the supervisor.

Essential Skills, knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA Part 2 or above will be added advantage
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in FMCG or Manufacturing sectors
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller or similar role
- Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
- Good customer and negotiation skills
- Result oriented, energetic go getter ready to face new challenges
- Ability to meet with defaulting customers and ensure ultimate conversion
