We are Hiring.
We are expanding our team and are looking for skilled and motivated individuals to fill the below position:
Customs Declaration Officer – Nairobi
Responsibilities
• Prepare and submit customs documentation (IDF, C63, C17, etc.) for cargo clearance via the KRA ICMS system.
• Ensure accurate HS code classification, duty calculation, and declaration of goods.
• Verify and ensure completeness of shipping and import documents (Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, etc.).
• Liaise with KRA, KPA, KEBS, Port Health, and other regulatory bodies for cargo inspections, approvals, and release.
• Handle queries raised by customs officers or regulatory bodies professionally and in a timely manner.
• Attend physical verifications and joint inspections at the port, airport, or ICDs.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise​
• Diploma or Degree in Clearing & Forwarding, Customs Administration or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of ICMS & KRA iTax.
• KESRA customs Certification.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in customs declaration.
