M&C Consulting Group, on behalf of a valued client in the healthcare sector, is seeking to recruit a Community Oral Health Officer. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering quality primary oral healthcare and committed to improving community well-being through both facility-based care and outreach initiatives.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
🦷 Perform oral examinations, diagnose common dental conditions, and carry out basic procedures (extractions, fillings, scaling, polishing)
💉 Administer local anesthesia and uphold the highest standards of infection prevention
🏫 Lead school and community oral health education programs and awareness campaigns
🧪 Apply fluoride treatments, fissure sealants, and refer complex cases appropriately
📊 Maintain accurate patient records and submit timely reports via DHIS2
🤝 Collaborate with CHVs, schools, and local stakeholders to promote oral hygiene
🎓 Qualifications & Requirements:
✅ Diploma in Community Oral Health from a recognized institution
✅ Registered & licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC)
✅ Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) is an added advantage
✅ Proficient in computer use and health information systems
✅ Minimum 1 year of experience in a busy healthcare facility (preferred)
